Art Deco Enameled Bronze, Young Female Dancer Signed Lorenzl Austrian circa 1930

About the Item

This graceful dancer in bronze was done by the distinguished and highly regarded Austrian sculptor, Josef Lorenzl. Many of his other works are shown in the book "Art Deco and Other Figurines", Bryan Catley. In fact the front cover displays one his works. This bronze was cold painted in soft colors, and is mounted on a colorful heavily striated marble base. Lorenzl is considered one of the very best sculptors of the Art Deco period. His bronzes are highly sought after.

    Additions or alterations made to the original: A very small area of paint loss just above the ankle of the left foot has been touched up and blended in. Hardly noticeable unless pointed out. Does not affect the integrity of this beautiful statue. No flaws to marble base. Wear consistent with age and use.
