About the Item
Exquisitely sculpted, probably by an Italian artist, this lovely and beautiful marble sculpture depicts a nude Venus figure emerging from a scallop shell, all supported by a pair of dolphins. The details of Venus' face, torso, hands and feet are sensitively and beautifully sculpted, and the marble is beautifully preserved. This is one of the finest Art Deco sculptures we have ever offered.
