It represents Christ wearing the crown of thorns, with his eyes closed. His face is filled with a certain serenity. This head is placed on a visible cross above and on either side of his skull. The sculpture is made in a tribal taste, reminiscent of African art. A dark wood (Wenge) is used as a support. The back bears the name of the artist: Daniel BOUESSO. Daniel Bouesso is a Senegalese artist of the second half of the 20th century. He comes from the Haouassas ethnic group.
