French 19th Century Louis XVI St. Patinated Bronze & Ormolu Statue Of A Cherub
About the Item
A charming and high quality French 19th century Louis XVI st. patinated Bronze and Ormolu statue of a young cherub. The statue is raised by a square Gris St. Anne marble base on Ormolu risers. On the four side of the pedestal are richly chased Ormolu rosettes below the circular marble base. The circular marble base is elegantly decorated by a fanciful Ormolu band with a Coeur de Rai design and outer beaded band. Above is the charming seated patinated Bronze cherub on a tree stump amidst foliage. The cherub is hold a richly detailed Ormolu branch full of blossoming flowers. Wonderfully decorative.
