Gabriel Beauvais French Art Deco Terracotta Sculpture Leda and the Swan, 1930s
About the Item
Leda and the swan sculpture by Gabriel Beauvais, France, 1930s. Terracotta. This sculpture was made in crackle glaze ceramic by Kaza Edition in Paris, that is illustrated in "Craquelés Art Deco" by Alain Hardy and Bruno Gilardi, Editions Penthesilla, 2009, page 72. Very rare and remarkably made. Measures: Width 17.5" (44.5 cm), height 14.5" (36.8 cm), depth 7.8" (19.7 cm). Signed "G.Beauvais" and marked "France" on the base (see photos). Just a small bite on the bottom edge of the base. Condition: Very good.
