A stunning museum quality Italian 19th century white Carrara, Sienna and Vert de Patricia marble statue on its original pedestal. The pedestal is raised by an elegant octagonal base with a mottled socle shaped support below the most decorative spiral fluted central column and square top display tier. Above is a sensational and wonderfully executed Sienna marble pillow with impressive attention to detail. The beautiful young girl above is kneeling on the pillow holding her hands up to her face with a superb richly sculpted facial expression and a tear running down her cheek. Wonderful attention to detail and subject matter.
