Two superb Nô theatre dancers in carved wood and bone by the artist Hōzan 芳山, Japan late 19th century.
Decorations of a fox on the head of one dancer and carved dragons, chrysanthemums, birds of paradise, goldfish and phoenix.
Signed by the artist.
In very good condition. Small displacement and crack next to one bone element in the front of the dancer with the fan.
