Old Papua New Guinea Ancestral Standing Figure

About the Item

Papua New Guinea standing male ancestral figure, hand carved from a single piece of wood. Beautifully aged old pigmented surface with finely decorated facial features and shell eyes. Great looking bold powerful presence. Sepik River, circa 1930 - 1950. Measures 36 inches tall x 9 inches wide x 10 inches deep. From an old local estate collection.     Wear consistent with age and use. Antique condition. Nicely aged old surface w/ beautifully pigmented facial features. Wear and age cracks to wood ( see pictures ) structurally solid. A great old carving with a powerful presence.
