About the Item
This well designed and executed Vienna bronze has a young boy resting on his stomach and enjoying what is left of a cigar. His clothes are meticulously cold painted, and this bronze is signed in multiple areas. It does bear the Bergmann Foundry seal, albeit in a tricky place to find, and also has the word "Geschutzt" impressed in 2 areas. The translation of that word is equivalent to our "copyright". Bergmann really wanted to protect this one. It has has numbers appearing in 2 areas. We know those to be factory identification numbers.

- Condition:Wear consistent with age and use. Minor losses. The holes on the underside indicate that at one time this bronze had a base. Still a fine Vienna bronze and it should be pointed out that most of these type never had bases. The boy rests flatly and can be enjoyed just the way it is now.
