  • Count Bruhl's Tailor, 19th C. Bisque Porcelain Goat And Rider By Vion Et Baury
    Located in Free Union, VA
A very finely modeled French bisque porcelain figural group, incorporating a mix of glazed and natural bisque porcelain. Dating to the late 19th century, this is an excellent example of the work produced by modeler Charles Baury who worked in Paris for the firm of Jean Giles (founded in 1837) until Baury took over the manufactory in 1868 and a few years later moved it to Choisey-le-Roi.
