About the Item
A handsome and finely detailed true pair of Italian 19th century Grand Tour period Ormolu, Mahogany, and patinated Bronze columns and statues. Each column is raised by a square Mahogany block base below the patinated Bronze column. Each patinated Bronze column is modeled after the Trajan's Column at The Place Vendôme in Paris to celebrate the victory of Austerlitz. The top capital of each column displays a smaller scale pedestal with Ormolu figures of Marcus Aurelius and Trajan dressed in formal attire.
