Early 19th Century Swedish Turned "Dummy" Keg
About the Item
Unusual Swedish 19th Century turned burl birch "dummy" keg, having turned rings imitating willow bands, bone inlaid roundel and stopper and brass carrying rings, the whole turned from a single block of burl birch with spalted grain, the purpose of which is a complete mystery. A lovely object with great patina and personality.
