About the Item
19th century gilt bronze two-piece Garniture after Claude Michel Clodion. Late 19th century gilt and patinated bronze two-piece garniture. After Claude Michel Clodion. Consisting of pair of urns with fluted spreading neck fronted with a grotesque mask and a pair of entwined serpent handles, above the tapering body cast in high relief with satyrs, bacchante and putti with gilded acanthus-cast lower section. This antique in pristine condition originated from the French Belle Époque.
