Magnificent tankard handcrafted in silver. This silver tankard is very intricately decorated with heavy repousse and chased metal work in a floral swag motif with a centralized cameo. The tree feet are done in figural seated lions and the finial are done in a rampant lion.
The producer of this article, Artex, was a branch of the Hungarian state mint and started its business by re-shedding the old coins. Subsequently he began to make artistic objects.
An object of great elegance, perfect for embellishing a high-class home.
This alloy contains 83.5% of pure silver.
