About the Item
Gorgeous, large vintage Murano hand blown persimmon orange, with gold flecks Italian art glass ginger, cookie or candy jar. Documented to designer Alfredo Barbini, circa 1950s. Published in his catalog (please see photo). It is referred to as "Candy Boxes" on the photo. Has a ribbed design, with twisted curl at the top. Profusely covered in gold leaf from top to bottom. Would make a great display piece on any table, credenza or dresser. Mid-century era. Measures: 13" tall.
