Vintage Chinese Blue Underglaze Porcelain Ginger Jar, Ming Style

About the Item

A vintage blue and white 'Ming Style' ginger jar, crafted in China during the latter half of the 20th century. A smooth hexagonal-shaped body showcases the revered technique of Chinese blue underglazed porcelain. Its subtle underglazed base is hand-painted with deep cobalt blue enamels, artistically depicting chrysanthemum flowers amidst meandering stems and foliage. This exquisite piece of Chinese porcelain pays homage to the beauty and simplicity that was characteristic of Ming Dynasty styles. In very good condition, the porcelain jar is free of chips or damage
