18th Century French Ponne Pot

About the Item

This is a very impressive 18th century French Ponne pot. Used to stored preserved meats and other food products and now making the most incredible garden pot or for use inside. The colour is a dark red almost purple with a great patina and absolutely no damage. The size of the pot makes it amazing as well and it is certainly a two person lift minimum. The texture on the the pot as well is what I fell in love with. A rare survivor. Height 57cm Diameter 64cm
