Chinese Drip Glaze Relief Planter, c. 1930
About the Item
This lovely ceramic planter dates to the early 20th century and features low relief decoration colored by blue, green, and light brown overglaze. The basin has a footed base, a flat lip, and rounded sides patterned with bands of simple floral motifs and lobed medallions filled with flowers and offering fruits. The opening is wide enough to accommodate a potted plant, making this rustic vessel an ideal planter for the home or garden.
