George III Carved Marble Cistern

About the Item

Glorious early 19th Century Carrara marble cistern of large proportions. The boldly carved, gadrooned, oval bowl, stands on a finely detailed socle. All is beautifully tactile and time-worn polished, with some losses and knocks. Circa 1800.
