Large Antique Balkan Clay Storage Bottle or Urn Terracotta Vessel, 19th Century

About the Item

Antique hand crafted and unique stoneware jug with a square belly and round base. The jug comes with a round screw cap. Possibly Balkan area or Italy, around 1800s to 1900. Beautiful burnt clay vessel, which was used to store (and make) plum wine. Fantastic patina, still comes with a whiff of the original content when opened. Hand made, one-of-a-kind piece.
