Pair of French 19th Century Neoclassical Patinated Bronze Marble and Ormolu Urns
About the Item
A beautiful and high quality pair of French 19th century neo-classical patinated bronze, marble and ormolu urns attributed to Barbedienne. Each urn is raised by a square Black Belgian marble base with elegant ormolu ball feet. The patinated bronze urns above display a square base below the socle pedestal with fine foliate patterns. The body displays charming and richly detailed maidens draped in flowing fabric with unique and most decorative arms to each side with a foliate design and a striking female faces. The neck displays beautiful foliate designs with geometric patterns on a hammered background. All original warm patina throughout.
