Bay Keramik West German Mid-Century Volcanic Fat Lava Glazed Art Pottery Vase
About the Item
A very stylish German mid-century art pottery vase decorated in volcanic and fat lava glazes by Bay Keramik. The bell shaped vase stands on a narrow rounded unglazed foot rim with a recessed base and with a bell shaped body and short trumpet shaped top with a wide folded in rim. The body of the vase is decorated with textured volcanic glazes in black and bright orange/red forming bands around the body and applied over a white glazed ground. The vase has molded makers marks to the base and is numbered 66 20.
