Blown Glass bowl Olu Nelum by Pierre Marie

About the Item

Olu Nelum Glass vase designed by Pierre Marie and blown by Atelier Gamil ( Saint Mihiel, France). After creating «Jardin d’Hiver», an interior for the 2018 Toulon Design Parade, Pierre Marie put together a new installation in his Paris gallery: «Olu Nelum», or Lotus Flower. A different interior with the same decorative elements, it revives the emotion of the original showcase in a more urban setting. The stained glass window becomes a floor-to-ceiling arborescent structure, completing the original ornamental story of the lotus flower along with a collection of blown glass vases. Pierre Marie Studio is a multi-disciplinary design firm based in Paris. We create works of art, designs and interiors for private and corporate clients. Born from the practice of artist decorator Pierre Marie, the Studio’s activity focuses on applied arts and creating rich designs that befit the crafts and techniques of our partner artisans. A long time collaborator of various luxury brands, Pierre Marie’s artistic practice combines narration with ornament, and finds its full expression in working with master craftsmen. With a background in fashion and creative art direction, his work has found many applications to revive and magnify the tradition of decorative arts. He has in particular developed a passion for the arts of tapestry and stained glass over the years, which are at the heart of the Studio’s enterprise.
