About the Item
Venus collection.
A series of forms drawing on prehistoric sculptural traditions, which are a commentary on the canons of the female figure, different for each era in the history of art.
The series is characterized by the unique quality of RAKU glazing achieved thanks to the process of firing in live fire and hardening with a series of thermal shocks after being removed from the heat of the fire. A dangerous, dynamic and unpredictable process, full of strengthening shocks, the effects of which we cannot be sure of, until the last stage guarantees a unique painting effect and a unique pattern of cracks resulting from thermal shock and reduction in sawdust.
Vase fired in live fire using the Japanese RAKU technique, dimensions: 25cm x 19cm x 13cm / burned at 1100 degrees.
A unique piece, its glazing is unique.
Intended for dry flower arrangements.
