About the Item
This collection of silver lotus vases features two pieces made by very different silver companies. One of the lotus vases is Made by Reed & Barton. Reed & Barton was founded in 1824 and enjoys a reputation as one of the country’s foremost marketers of fine tableware. It is recognized for design excellence and the highest quality workmanship. The other is made by Leonard Silver. Leonard Silver was founded in 1968 in Chelsea, Massachusetts by Leonard Florence. Mr. Florence was the eight son on an immigrant Russian grocer, He began Leonard silver in his Chelsea garage. Leonard Silver ceased being its own company in 1979 after it was bought out by Towle Silversmiths. Silver pieces by both companies are now highly sought after.
