Danish Modern Ceramic Vase by Per Linnemann-Schmidt for Palshus, 1960s. Torpedo shaped ceramic vase with hares fur glaze in green/sage by Palshus, Denmark. Palshus was established by Annelise and Per Linnemann-Schmidt in 1948 and closed in 1972. They are known for their precise minimalistic designs and their beautiful glazes. This is a small vase model no. 1163/1. Signed underneath. Height 16.5 cm Very good original condition with no damages.

    Large ceramic vide-poche or bowl, 13" diameter. Very rare in this dimension. It comes in olive green tones with an impressive blue flame in the center. The blue effect is replicated onto the upper edge. On the outside shows an impressed geometrical pattern. It comes with a thick glaze. Scandinavian Mid-Century bowl, produced by Palshus (Denmark) in the 1960s, founded by Per and his wife Annelise Linnemann-Schmidt. The couple created and produced chamotte (danish clay) objects, often with impressed decorations (tableware, vases, and lamps). Colors were characteristic Scandinavian earthy tones: blues, browns, greens and beige. Many other talented ceramic artists also worked for Palshus including Jens H. Quistgaard and Esben Klint.
