Gorgeous Murano hand blown Zanfirico ribbons and gold flecks Italian art glass sculptural flower vase. Documented to designer Dino Martens for Aureliano Toso, circa 1954, model number 5669 (published, see last photo). The piece has white net Zanfirico ribbons and pink “A canne” ribbons alternating on the vase. The piece is profusely covered in heavy gold leaf throughout, including the shell shaped foot. Gorgeous and rare, vintage Murano hand blown white ribbons Italian art glass sculptural woman shape, body dress, flower vase. Documented to designer Dino Martens for Aureliano Toso, circa 1954, model number 5961. The piece is published in the company book which I have added on the photos. The vase is created with a scissor cut rim, that in turn is folded over and formed onto arms. It has an hourglass body shape, with a chevron pattern caused from the ribbed surface. If you run your fingers on the surface, you can feel each ribbon on the body. I personally call this my Marlyn Monroe vase. Very unusual and elegant. Would make a great display piece on any desk, vanity or curio cabinet. Fill it with fresh flowers, or display it as the sculptural piece it is. Mid-century era. A rare collectors piece!
