Galle Cameo Art Glass Landscape Vase

About the Item

This antique signed Galle vase was made in France in approximately 1900 in the period Art Nouveau style. The vase in done in multiple layers of colored glass that's been etched, cut and polished to reveal a country landscape with a brook in the background and a central wind blown tree as the main subject or focal point with a pink sky. The unique conical shape of this vase begins as circular at the base and tapers into a triangular opening at the top. The vase is clearly signed "Galle" on the rear lower portion.
