Large French Art Nouveau Pottery Gilbert Metenier blue ochre yellow green A rare, large and very impressive piece of organic marrow-like form, typical of Gilbert Metenier’s best production - his vegetal pieces, inspired by Japanese ceramics, signed with incised signature which makes it more special as it identifies it as a personal piece by the artist himself as distinct from the typical standard factory wears which have only a printed signature. A wonderful pieces of Japonisme at the turn of the century Asymmetrical, it curves to one side.
