Magnificent Pair of Amphora Art Nouveau "Lily of the Valley" Figural Vases, 1905

About the Item

Proud to offer this matching PAIR of early 20th Century Austria Imperial Amphora “Lily-of-the-Valley” maiden vases. These vases were designed by Eduard Stellmacher and manufactured by Riessner & Kessel Amphora of Turn-Teplitz, Austria, in a very classic Art Nouveau style. They each depict a dimensional nymph figure partially ascending a large Lily of the Valley plant. There are many lily of the valley plants surrounding the figures and a couple of scrolling stems that pass through their long flowing hair. Four main colors are used to decorate the molded vase with gilt highlights, including white, ivory, dark & light beige and gold. There are some impressed marks on the underside bottom, "Imperial Amphora Turn" mark, the Riessner & Kessel "Crown", "Amphora", "Austria", and various mold numbers and letters. These markings were only used between 1905-1910 and came after Eduard Stellmacher left the company in 1904. These two vases are in perfect original condition with no repairs, damage, chips, cracks, and are in absolutely near pristine condition.
