About the Item

We kindly suggest you read the whole description, because with it we try to give you detailed technical and historical information to guarantee the authenticity of our objects. Original and particular pair of French vases; they were blown in one piece, without joints, then shaped with skill by skilled craftsmen glassmakers between the in France; the most difficult and laborious operation was to leave the white opaline inside and make the outside with a different color; when the draft of the white opalescent vase had already come out of the kiln, the copper oxide was applied to the outside surface to obtain the green color; at the precise moment in which the oxide began to melt and mix with the white, the craftsman began the blowing and the modeling of the vase, in a quick and fast way, so that the color was distributed only on the surface of the object without penetrating, then he put the vase for a very short time in the oven and then proceeded to a fast cooling; the vase is so white inside and green outside! Then a skilled painter-artist on the two vases has painted by hand and in relief the figures of two nice and smiling elves with butterfly wings, a male and a female, putting meticulous care in the details and choosing bright and pleasant colors. The opaline is slightly translucent glass, opacified with phosphates and chlorides of sodium and calcium with the addition of tin and talcum oxides, thus obtaining various shades of colors from pastel to milk-white; opaline glass is much less dense and opaque than milky glass (very similar to porcelain); the opaline in the strict sense is a French product that was born at the end of the 18th century - beginning of the 19th century in imitation of the Murano and German semi-opaque glasses of the seventeenth century and which has its moment of maximum splendor from 1820 to 1870 thanks to the achievements of the French factories ( Baccarat, Saint Louis and Choisy-le-Roy); from 800 onwards, the opaline spread all over the world with the handicraft production of everyday objects. France, from ancient times to modern times, is recognized as a producer of the best quality opaline glass. Measures diameter 10 cm, height 20 cm. For all our shipments we use special packaging materials (wooden crates, styrofoam, etc.) for maximum protection and safety of the objects.

Storyteller: Once upon a time, there was a lovely couple who had recently relocated to their dream home in France. When organizing their attic, they discovered a pair of beautiful opaline glass vases that had been passed down from generation to generation. The vases were stunning, with intricate designs of parakeets and butterflies surrounded by flowers painted in the most beautiful blue colors. The vases had an antique enchantment that drew the two in, and their beauty captured them. They noticed something odd as they placed the vases on the coffee table. There had particular energy about them, almost as if they were alive. The vases radiated warmth and love, and the couple felt like they were being welcomed by an old, beloved friend. The couple couldn't help but sense a connection to the vases as they sat on the couch. These were more than just decorative items; they had a history of love and passion that had spanned generations. The vases served as a window into the couple's history, reminding them of the beauty and enchantment of love. As time passed, the pair would frequently sit by the vases, holding hands and telling stories about their own love journey. They'd talk about the highs and lows, and how their love had grown stronger with each passing day. They could feel the vases beaming back at them as they talked as if to say, "Love never dies." Years passed, and the couple grew old together, but their love remained constant. Throughout it all, the vases served as a continual reminder of love's undying strength. They were no longer just antiques; they were a symbol of the couple's personal love story, a memory of their shared journey. So the pair of blue opaline glass vases...
