Pair of Art Nouveau Vases Iron Forged, by Dagobert Peche from the Collection of Pierre Cardin. An exquisite pair of classic Art Nouveau vases made in forged iron and silver painted, as was the style at the time, by Dagobert Peche, an Austrian metelworker and member of the Weiner Werkstatte. Thistles adorn each side with two upward curved arms on either side returning to the classic layered curves of the Nouveau time period at the base and with an extraordinary provenance from the Collection of Pierre Cardin. Marked D M Peche on front. bottom. Silver paint flaking throughout, otherwise good stable condition. 9.5" wide x 6" deep x 16" high 3" opening - inside Provenance: Private Collection, New York, New York, Collection of Pierre Cardin
