Scandinavian Stoneware Vase with Blue Glaze from Lauritz Hjorth, 1950s

About the Item

Among the most desirable pieces from L. Hjorth Ceramic in Denmark comes pieces by the Swedish Ceramist Eva Sjögren who worked with Hjorth for a period of time during the 1950s and 60s. This small vase with a delicate blue glaze and a highlighted onion pattern bears close resemblance to Nils Thorssons designs for Aluminia in particular. The vase is fully marked and signed S (Sjögren) 113 to the base. Measurements: H: 13.5, D: 12 cm.
