Stoneware Clay Vessel
About the Item
These vessels are hand-thrown with stoneware clay and fired in a wood-burning kiln. Monochrome and dappled glazes create unique surface patterns & textures. Crafted by master ceramicist and artist Ahren Ahrenholz in his East Dummerston, Vermont studio, all of his pottery is oven and dishwasher safe (except those with natural woven handles). Ahren apprenticed with Michael Cardew in Cornwall England and ran Colusa Pottery in Kensington, California before relocating to Vermont. In addition to pottery, he is a sculptor who constructs objects as an inquiry into the elements of visual language.
