Two Green Holmegaard "Drop Vase" Vases, Designed by Per Lütken
About the Item
Two beautiful vintage green hand blown glass "Drop Vase" or dråbevase vases. The vases were designed by Per Lütken (1916-1998) in 1955 and manufactured by Holmegaard Glass Company from 1955 to 1970, Lütken designed for Holmegaard from 1942 until his death in 1998. The color was called "majgrøn" or "may green". The large vase stands approximately 9 1/4 inches tall, 8 inches wide and 6 3/4 inches deep. The smaller vase stands approximately 5 inches tall, 4 1/2 inches wide and 3 3/4 inches deep. The large vase is etched on the bottom: Holmegaard / PL / 15471, the smaller vase is etched on the bottom: Holmegaard / PL / 15469, the number indicates the pattern number.

- Condition:Wear consistent with age and use. Vase in very good vintage condtion. Taller vase has slight scratches and some pitting, but both are noticable only under close scrutiny. Smaller vase very little scratching or pitting, great condition. Vases have moderate deep scratching on bottom.
