Pair of George III Wine Goblets Made in Edinburgh by James Douglas, 1806

About the Item

A very fine pair of George III Wine Goblets made in Edinburgh in 1806 by James Douglas. The Goblets stand on a circular pedestal foot decorated with a Greek key and prick dot band. The vase shaped main body is decorated at the rim with a band of wave designs, flanked by wriggle work and prick dot designs. The interior of the bowl displays deep gilding and each is fully marked in the foot. The Goblets are modelled in a good large size and are in excellent, crisp, condition. Additional information: Height: 7.3 inches, 18.25 cm. Diameter at the rim: 4 inches, 10 cm.
