Large Genuine Quartz Aventurine Bowl

About the Item

This genuine quartz aventurine bowl is easily incorporated into any decor or style and is suitable for tableware, a catch all, or display. This aventurine quartz bowl has a fairly uniform translucent, light olive yellow background with well dispersed flecks of mica and dark inclusions. The mica reflect light, resulting in a sparkly appearance. This impressive 8-inch diameter bowl was hand carved from one piece of quartz and weighs 365 grams. The bowl is 3 inches high, with sides thin enough to see shadow and light through them, highlighting the craftsmanship required to produce such delicacy from a large specimen of quartz. Although I am unsure of the origin, I believe this bowl may have come from Italy and may be quite old. The bowl is in fine condition with only two small hairline cracks on the rim. However, these flaws do not interfere with the beauty of this bowl.
