Impressive mid-20th century British one of a kind military centerpieces, each modelled as a quiver of arrows supporting a laurel wreath, on a recumbent writhen dragon, mounted to an ebonised wooden base applied with crowned rifle regiment insignias and crowned initials.
Hallmarked English silver (925 standard), London, year 1961 (f), Maker W&W (Wakely & Wheeler), Successors to H J Lias & Son; business acquired by Padgett & Braham Ltd in 1958.Manufacturing silversmiths, Hatton Garden, London EC; subsequently Red Lion Square, Holborn, London; then (from 1937) Ganton Street, London W1.
