20th Century Japanese Monumental Meiji Period Solid Silver Bowl, C.1900
About the Item
19th Century Japanese Meiji period monumental silver bowl, exceptional and magnificent quality, embossed with a continuous landscape and large cherry tree and blossom in high relief on matted hand hammered ground. Standing on a domed base, decorated with flowing foliage and two gilt, Japanese imperial chrysanthemum seals.
The base stamped silver (950 silver standard).
