Italian 19th Century White Porcelain Centerpiece, Signed Bassano
About the Item
A charming Italian 19th century white porcelain centerpiece, signed Bassano. The centerpiece is raised by a lovely scalloped shaped base with fine tied wrap around berried laurel bands and beautiful swaging floral garlands which extend around the base. A striking and most charming pierced baluster extends around the top where four charming and finely detailed cherubs are playing draped in flowing garments and holding swaging garlands with intricately detailed flowers. At the center is a removable porcelain statuette with three additional charming cherubs, one seated on a banister holding garlands with the others rolling around and playing pulling the garlands on a wonder rock like design with superb intricate flowers. Exquisite attention to detail throughout.
