Victorian Cranberry Glass Epergne
About the Item
This is a remarkably fine example in excellent condition. For both fruit and flowers, this hand-blown epergne has five trumpet-shaped vases around a larger central vase, all with frilled rims and applied wrythen clear ornament. The vases are supported by a gilt rope-form frame that is set above the frilled fruit bowl below.
Just as an ornament in itself it is stunning, full of color and lightness; with flowers and fruit it would add an elegance and sumptuousness to your table or sideboard.
