Antique German .800 Silver and Diamond Cut Crystal Claret Jug or Pitcher
About the Item
This antique claret jug is hallmarked by an unknown maker, and believed to have originated from Germany and date to approximately 1920 and done in the period Art Deco style. The body of the jug is composed of a very heavy and deeply cut crystal with a diamond pattern and pedestal base. The handle, lid and collar are composed of .800 or Continental silver with an engraved hinged lid and an accenting ball handle. The collar is clearly marked for .800 silver with the maker's hallmark and a model number.
