19th c. English Majolica Seaweed Oyster Plate, S. Fielding & Co.
About the Item
A 19th c English Oyster Plate with six-well majolica glazed oyster plate by Fielding & Co. Ltd., Stoke-on-Trent, England, circa 1875-1880.. Turquoise oyster wells surround a center well. A chocolate brown nautical rope border encircles the center well and the outer rim.
The verso is glazed in a watery oyster gray with six raised scallop shell shaped feet. Stamped on the bottom.
Dimensions are 9" diameter and 1" high. Good condition with no chips no hairline noted.
