A Dutch Delftware Tobacco jar with a brass lid. Origine: Delft, The Netherlands Date: Second half of the 18th century Workshop: Unknown A genuine blue and white tobacco jar for the storage of tobacco. The brand name: Straasburger, is painted in a floral cartouche. The brand refers to the City of Straatsburg where this type of tobacco was traded. With the original brass lid, the lid has an old crack, visible at the pictures.
