Very Large Blue and White Dutch Delft Vase in Chinoiserie, Early 18th Century

About the Item

A Rare and Very Large, Early Dutch Delftware vase with chinoiserie decoration. Origine: Delft, The Netherlands Date: 1724 - 1757 Workshop: De Metaale Pot under the management of Cornelis Koppens. Marked CK for Cornelis Koppens. The very large vase of a whopping 50cm! is decorated in the Chinese Kangxi style, with four cartouches and two scenes of Chinese mountain and river landscapes with people. In between the large cartouches are eight small cartouches, also with Chinese landscapes and figures. This all is painted between leaf tendrils, in a hatched style. Originally this vase had a lid, but it's been lost in time.
