Early 20th C Huge Lot of Dinnerware by Homer Laughlin & Frederick Rhead 480 Pcs
About the Item
Fabulous simple yet elegant design on this incredibly large set, 480+ pcs. Homer Laughlin a very prominent company with roots in the 19th century. Frederick Rhead a very famous designer who worked at Homer Laughlin for many years and had designed the Fiesta collection in the thirties. This particular design is Virginia Rose with no transferware just a simple scalloped edge with an embossed decoration in the same bone color.
What makes this set, and sets it apart from the others is size,. Over 480 PCs in excellent antique condition with minimal wear, very few chips or cracks, nothing serious, as the set was edited of the more damaged PCs. Here's a list: 69 Dinner plates
37 coffee cups with 58 saucers, 7 creamers and six sugar bowls. 6 gravy boats, 5 covered serving vegetable dishes w lids. 70 salad plates, 59 soup bowls, 73 fruit bowls, 4 small serving bowl, 18 serving platters in various sizes, 68 dessert plates rounds out the collection. Sold only as a set, will not part out. This is a truly unique set and is so eloquent in its design and size your parties will be remembered for multiple reasons and the dishes will be one of them!
