An extremely rare Georgian peacock green drinking vessel with six finger hole and lid. The vessel is very similar in design to earlier German vessels one of which can be seen at the V&A museum.

    This wonderful lime green glass decanter was crafted in Bohemia, a historic region which now forms part of the Czech Republic, in the late 19th century. The piece was created for the Persian (modern-day Iranian) market. The decanter features an ovoid body with a cylindrical, knopped neck and flared mouth. This is covered by a stopper with a panelled base, a knopped centre and a conical tip. The decanter is crafted from green colored glass and is finely decorated with swirling gilt patterns, jewel-like gilt raised beads, and colorful enameled flowers.
