Hand Blown Art Nouveau Silver Overlay Cranberry Red Crystal Decanter Claret

About the Item

This tall hand blown cranberry red crystal decanter is an exquisite example of the masters of silver overlay decoration. The body is beautifully embellished with an allover Art Nouveau floral motif including the handle and stopper for an example of America's finest silver overlay companies. The base is decorated with a cut radial star and both the decanter and stopper are engraved with the number "50" indicating the original match. The base measures 4" in diameter and the widest point is 5", the overall height is 14.5", Made in America ca. 1900, in excellent condition commensurate with age.
