Loetz Art Nouveau Vase Cobalt Mimosa with 2 Handles, Austria-Hungary, circa 1909

About the Item

Form blown baluster-shaped body on a round, flush stand, bulbously widening and contracting to a short, wide neck. Cobalt blue underlay with silver-yellow-green crumb inclusions, 2 six-part raised volute handles of yellow, iridescent glass, bottom with polished pontil. Shape: Series II, around 1909 Decor: Cobalt Mimosa Cobalt blue ground with silver-yellow crumbs, crackled branch decoration, reduced and magenta-gold iridescence. Manufactured by Loetz Widow / Klostermühle / Bohemia Dating of manufacture: around 1909 Size: height: 15,5 cm / 6.01 in width: 18,0 cm / 7.08 in depth: 13,5 cm / 5.31 in Condition: very good.
