Pair of Signed Ahne Hand Painted Large White Mantle Vases

About the Item

This is a wonderful pair of hand blown Bohemian glass vases with detailed and charming portraits in hand painted enamels. The large size makes them especially decorative and the fine detail of the painting is clearly evident. The children are well painted and dressed in period costume. The vases are further decorated with raised enamels, "jewels" and gold trim encircling the piece. These would be perfect mantle vases or add a decorative element to any glass collection.

    Pair of large translucent, trumpet-shaped, gilded, and painted turquoise opaline glass vases. This elegant pair was made in France from approximately 1850 to 1920. The pair is in perfect condition, with no chips or cracks detected. There is some gold lost due to age.
